Kurfürstendamm

Not only was the old center of West Berlin located around the Bahnhof Zoo, this is where Berlin’s most important shopping mile is still located. From the ruins of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on Breitscheidtplatz to Berlin's posh residential area on Halensee, the Ku'damm, once the prince's bridle path to his hunting lodge, is now Berlin's most expensive address, where the flagship stores of the noblest brands have settled. The KaDeWe, Germany's most luxurious and largest shopping temple, is also located on the extension of the Ku'damm, the "Tauentzien" - and not to forget, the highlight for young visitors to Berlin: the zoological garden.
